Classic With A Twist
About Kellerman Voice
The Voice Actors Studio
Meet Kristi Kellerman
I’m a voice actor, voice teacher, and youth theatre director working across voiceover, voice training, and theatre direction.
As a voice actor, I specialize in natural, conversational reads that help bring scripts to life in a way that feels effortless, intentional, and human. Voiceover is where my background in teaching and directing comes together—shaping how I listen, interpret, and respond to text in the booth.
For over 25 years, I’ve taught private voice lessons, working with singers at all stages of their development. My studio is based on the second floor of Dole Mansion, known locally as “the Dole,” in Crystal Lake, IL.
In my teaching, I focus on strong vocal technique, confidence, presentation, and healthy, sustainable habits. I adapt my approach to meet the goals of each student—whether they’re singing for enjoyment, preparing for auditions, or working toward specific roles.
Alongside private teaching, I have spent 10 years as a music director and co-director in middle school musical productions. I also lead theatre workshops focused on script reading, character work, and performance skills, creating spaces where performers can take risks, build skills, and grow with confidence.
Beyond the studio, I enjoy reading, gardening, and getting lost in sci-fi, fantasy, and romance. I stay active with yoga and biking, and value time with friends and family. I’ve been married since 1998, and my husband and I are in the empty-nester phase of life with one child on the East Coast and one in college. My husband works as a tech consultant and is also a musician. Together, we keep life full with travel, movies, puzzles, and the company of our energetic grand-bunny.
