I absolutely love helping students achieve, whether it’s building repertoire, preparing for auditions (choir, musicals, madrigals, et al), improving their ensemble singing, or much more. I tailor lessons to fit each person’s needs and generally include basic music theory, body mechanics, ear training, good practice habits, and confidence-building
2021 was a year for change as I moved out of my home office and into Dole Mansion. The year started with me teaching 100% online and then we carefully began in-person lessons to all vaccinated individuals. (I absolutely love students in my office, as safely as possible, but I’m also always available on-line as needs require.) 2022 began with a 100% in-person studio and then Beauty and the Beast, Jr auditions. What a tremendous show we had at the end of April! Recital is every May and this year we were able to have live, in-person, singing, and I always love seeing my students perform but also watching them show such support for one another. My studio has grown to include workshops and Karaoke Nights as well as the continuation of one-on-one private lessons for all ages. I hope 2022 continues to be a year of growth for students as well as my own voice work!
Beyond all that’s music, I have volunteered with a variety of organizations locally, regionally, and nationally. When I’m relaxing at home, I love sci-fi and fantasy, reading, gardening, and hanging out with friends and family. I’ve been married to my husband, Ryan, since 1998 and we are learning what life is as empty-nesters as both our children are now in college. Fortunately, we have an elderly dog and energetic grand-bunny to keep us company at home.
